The professional silk dyes that I use in creating my scarves are steam set to bond with the silk, so it retains the soft flowy nature and luminosity of the fabric. Color blending, serti and other silk painting techniques help me create beautiful colors and designs that are both artistic and unique. You will not find these in mass-produced scarves at your local department store. These pieces of wearable art are treasured and make memories.

It usually takes me 3-5 business days to work on your order depending on the work involved and the orders in the pipeline.

While I will try my very best to replicate the design, a hand-painted creation is a process in itself and two hand-painted scarves can never be identical. This is precisely what makes a hand-painted scarf a unique and one-of-a-kind creation.

Your Silk Painting / Fashion Accessory is washable.

The silk dyes used in the painting of the scarves are steam-fixed for permanence. Hand washing is preferable to dry-cleaning. Use cool water and detergent for gentle clothing. Do not bleach, soak, scrub hard or wring the fabric. Rinse and damp dry by rolling gently in a towel. Iron on the reverse side while still damp, preferably by placing a thin cloth between the damp scarf and the iron. This is will protect any metallic accents or the logo. Use iron on low / “Silk” setting.

Avoid spray-on starch for ironing

PRIOR TO FRAMING A PAINTING

You may want to rinse and damp dry the painting as mentioned in the steps above. Iron on the reverse side while still damp, preferably by placing a thin cloth between the damp silk and the iron. This is will protect the silk and any metallic accents/logo. Use iron on low / “Silk” setting only. This is the best way to completely get rid of the crease/wrinkles from packaging and transport.

Your painting is now ready to be framed.

The silk dyes used in painting the silk scarves are steam-fixed for permanence. They will not fade.

However, exposure to sunlight may cause them to lose their vibrancy. Avoid hanging a silk painting with continuous exposure to direct sunlight. Keep your scarves in a drawer or closet, and you can enjoy wearing them for years.

Avoid the spray of any beauty product from staining your silk scarf. You can blot the excessive perfume/spray before wearing your scarf. If you do stain your scarf, wash it off immediately with a gentle detergent using cool water.

Professional cleaning is recommended for the removal of stubborn stains.

All items in my studio are  handmade with love, attention to detail and with utmost care. However, small imperfections may happen during the silk painting process. These are normal and are not considered defects.

Also no two items will be identical.
