“The Smokies” is an original painting on silk inspired by the Great Smoky Mountains, a subrange of the Appalachian Mountains. The fog that lingers in these ranges adds to the scenic beauty of these heavily forested mountains.
I have used the dye gradation technique on silk fabric to create the ranges and the smoky effect. The painting is gallery wrapped on stretched canvas and ready to be hung. The silk wraps on all four sides of the canvas frame for the continuity of the painting. It can be unmounted from the canvas and professionally framed under glass if you so desire.
