“Rendezvous” is an original abstract dye on silk painting, gallery-wrapped on canvas. In this monochromatic minimalist painting, the circles represent two individuals, stepping out of their comfort zones for a meeting of minds.
Silk paintings offer an artistic, one-of-a-kind look to any decor. The silk fabric is inherently luminous. This provides richness and vibrancy to the colors of the dyes upon steaming, which is so very different from acrylic or oil paints. In this piece, the white background is offset by the bright blue and blue-black colors in a maze design. I used serti technique on silk using soy wax and silk dyes.
The painting would be a great addition to modern decor – in an office, lobby, above a mantle, you name it!
